DOE’s radioactive building demo: 2020
The world is upside down but that isn’t stopped The Boeing Company, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) from trying to break out of their 2010 remediation agreements. Thankfully, the recent order issued by Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) clearly said that the DOE must send the waste to a licensed facility and NOT to a recycling facility. Can you imagine radioactive debris being recycled and then reused in construction? That’s exactly what Boeing did to us in 2013, and the DOE had planned to, but thank God, the waste crisis has been avoided.
