Share your story

You can share your story in writing and photos, or as a short video. We’ll use them to show how our community has been impacted by the SSFL on our website (see Community Stories), social media, and in public meetings. Email it to us at santasusanacampaign(at)gmail.com.

Writing

  1. Please email us your story in under 2,000 words and 1-3 photos.

  2. Include:

    2. Where you live/lived in relation to the SSFL

    3. How the SSFL has impacted you or your family, or how you feel about it even if you haven’t been “impacted.”

Video

  1. You can use a camera or phone to record your story (make sure the camera is horizontal).

  2. Don’t forget to speak up so we can hear you, or use headphones or a microphone.

  3. Please keep your story to 3-5 minutes (we will edit down to 1-3 minutes).

  4. Include:

    1. Your first name (last name optional)

    2. Where you live/lived in relation to the SSFL

    3. How the SSFL has impacted you or your family, or how you feel about it even if you haven’t been “impacted.”

    4. Please email us any photos you think are helpful to your story, such as family photos, historical photos, etc.

Technical details

  1. Sit close to the camera.

  2. Make sure the background isn’t distracting

  3. Check the lighting to make sure you’re not hidden in shadows or overpowered by brightness.

Full details: Submissions may be accepted or rejected at our discretion with or without explanation. All submissions may be edited at our discretion for length and content. Do not submit other peoples stories and/or images without their permission. By submitting your story and/or images you agree to hold PASSFL harmless from liability resulting from real or perceived damages. By submitting your story and/or images you agree to allow Parents Against Santa Susana Field Lab (PASSFL) to use your story or images in meetings, online, in print, etc. Should you wish for PASSFL to no longer use your story and/or images, please send a request via email to Santasusanacampaign@gmail.com.
