Q: How familiar are you with the Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL)?
A: Somewhat familiar
Q: Which of the following are your top priorities regarding SSFL? (Select up to three)
A: Protecting public health of nearby residents, Protecting drinking water and watersheds, Preventing toxic exposure/fugitive dust during cleanup work
Q: Which statement best describes your position for the Santa Susana Field Laboratory cleanup?
A: A complete “Background” cleanup to remove all man-made contamination or equivalent
Q: Please explain your choice in a few sentences.
A: I support a complete background cleanup that removes all man-made contaminants because the health and safety of surrounding communities must be the top priority. Residents deserve to live without fear of exposure to harmful toxins linked to past activity at the site. Anything short of full remediation leaves long-term risks in place, particularly for vulnerable populations like children and first responders who train in the area. A thorough cleanup also ensures environmental restoration, protects groundwater and open space, and rebuilds public trust after decades of concern surrounding the site.
Q: Have you received campaign financial support from the Boeing Company this election cycle?
A: No.
Q: If elected, what specific actions would you take regarding the SSFL cleanup, and what outcomes do you hope those actions will achieve?
A: I will advocate for full enforcement of existing cleanup agreements, push for transparent timelines and public reporting, and work with state and federal partners to secure the resources needed to complete a comprehensive remediation. My goal is to ensure a complete background-level cleanup that protects public health, restores the environment, and gives the community confidence that the site is safe for future generations.
Q: Optional: Is there anything else you would like to share with voters about the Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL) and the cleanup?
A: I first learned about the cleanup efforts at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory in 2018 while working in Simi Valley as a community organizer. Hearing directly from impacted residents left a lasting impression on me, both as a Ventura County resident and as a community leader. Those stories underscored the real and ongoing concerns about health, safety, and environmental justice. Boeing must do right by the community and take full responsibility for cleaning up the contamination they created. I look forward to tackling this issue head-on to ensure residents are protected and the community can finally move forward with confidence.
Q: Given that Boeing’s portion of the SSFL cleanup is scheduled to begin in summer 2026, how high a priority will the SSFL be during your term in office?
A: Top priority

A: I’m a co-creator of RocketdyneWatch. I’m very well versed in the human harm that the SSFL has caused, Boeing’s non-stop attempts to prevent a full cleanup, etc. the harm to the community in the form of rare cancers impacting our children needs to be studied. As supervisor, i will be a fierce advocate and will want to work hand in hand with you and your team.
