A: A complete “Background” cleanup to remove all man-made contamination or equivalent

Q: Please explain your choice in a few sentences.

A: I support a complete background cleanup because anything less leaves communities exposed to long-term health risks from radioactive and chemical contamination. Partial cleanup or containment still allows toxins to remain in the soil, air, and groundwater and families living nearby deserve certainty that their environment is safe for future generations.

Q: Have you received campaign financial support from the Boeing Company this election cycle?

    A: No.

Q: If elected, what specific actions would you take regarding the SSFL cleanup, and what outcomes do you hope those actions will achieve?

A: Facilitate an exchange program that brings together activists and community members from District 9 who live near contaminated sites with families near the Santa Susana Field Laboratory to share their lived experiences, build solidarity, and organize joint advocacy efforts in Sacramento for funding and action on environmental remediation.

Q: Optional: Is there anything else you would like to share with voters about the Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL) and the cleanup?

A: It is outrageous that in 2026, families and communities are still being forced to demand a full and transparent cleanup of the Santa Susana Field Laboratory. I will fight for a cleanup to the strongest possible standards, protect public health, and ensure that no community is left to bear the cost of corporate pollution. Securing increased state and federal funding for environmental remediation will be a high priority, including fully funding cleanup at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory and addressing public contaminated sites across District 9.

Q: Given that Boeing’s portion of the SSFL cleanup is scheduled to begin in summer 2026, how high a priority will the SSFL be during your term in office?

    A: Moderate priority
