Los Angeles River Cleanup

Volunteer

Community volunteers can protect the headwaters of the Los Angeles River by cleaning a 1.6-mile stretch (0.8 miles on each side) of the LA River Greenway in Canoga Park, removing litter and debris from the bike and walking paths.

Compostable gloves, trash bags, and a large dumpster for bulky items will be provided. Children are encouraged to attend with adult supervision.

Contest open to California students TK- 12th grade. One winner will be given a $1,000 scholarship. Contest ends September 1, 2025.
