LA River & Water Board 2026
PASSFL joined the LA Waterkeepers, Heal the Bay, and the Wishtoyo Chumash Foundation at the Los Angeles Regional Water Board Hearing to contend the Board’s proposal for a small fine against the Boeing Company for polluting the Los Angeles River. The groups argued that a $600,000 fine wasn’t enough to influence Boeing into doing better. The fine could be as much as $15,000,000 according to the Water Board’s own calculations.
The Board made remarkable comments, agreeing with us, and has promised to increase the fines that are more fitting to Boeing’s financial capacity. The final amount has not yet been disclosed.
