Rocket engine test

Over 30,000 rocket engine tests were conducted at the Santa Susana Field Lab (formerly known as Rocketdyne). In addition contamination from toxic rocket fuel, toxic solvents such as Trichloroethylene (TCE) leaked into the soil and groundwater. It’s estimated that over 500,000 gallons of TCE is currently contaminating the site’s groundwater.
