National Day of Remembrance for downwinders

Congress designated November 27th at the National Day of Remembrance for Downwinders — Americans adversely affected by radiation generated by nuclear testing sites. This includes the people who worked and lived near the Santa Susana Field Lab who may have been exposed to the site’s radiation.

Flowers FOR Deceased Downwinders

PASSFL seeks to honor deceased “Downwinders” from the Santa Susana Field Lab and other nuclear sites by bringing yellow roses to their graves on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Please use the button below to nominate a person buried in Ventura County to be honored as a Downwinder.

Please note, as we have limited capacity for this event, we will limit the number of graves to visit to the first 25 applications and will prioritize cemeteries in Ventura County. Thank you for understanding.
