Simi Valley Landfill
2025 La Fires
Thousands of tons of debris from the 2025 Los Angeles Fires are being disposed of at the Simi Valley Landfill. Government officials claim the debris is non-hazardous and poses no threat but independent scientists want more data to support those claims.
UCLA and UC, Davis are working to set up air quality monitoring near the Simi Valley Landfill to get accurate, independent data to help inform residents and elected officials of any risks the LA Fires Debris could pose to public health or the environment.
